I Get By With A Little Help From My Friends

My friend Luci invited me over to play with her and our friend Ailey this week. Ailey's been under the weather for awhile so we were SO excited to see her. She was so happy to see us too! We had fun playing, or at least they did, because I was kinda grumpy. Turns out our moms had brought almost the exact same jammies for us to change into after dinner. Luci's has a scale and she agreed to let Ailey and me borrow it for a quick weigh in. I am 7 months and 2 weeks old and I currently weigh 16lbs 3oz (with my diaper on). Here are a few pictures from our first pajama party. As you can see from the last image, I overstayed my welcome just a bit.

Life's Little Treasures

I was (out of laziness) searching on the internet for a good grocery shopping list template today. You know the kind where it has the categories so that when you make your list it's void of bi-polar tendancies such as:

Bread
Eggs
Bagels
Toothpaste
Cheese
Hot Dog buns
Toothbrush

Thus you end up either missing something as you try to jump around the list to get stuff that is in the same aisle or you simply follow it from top to bottom and end up walking 5 miles by the time you're done. Bread aisle, dairy case, bread Aisle, toiletries, dairy case, bread aisle, toiletries....etc.
But I digress. So I typed in "Grocery List" in Google (sorry Trish) and the first site that comes up is (ironically) http://www.grocerylists.org/ Which happens to have some great grocery list templates, but again back to the real topic at hand. The site is hilarious. A collection of grocery lists found in stores. They've all been scanned in and while the average list isn't hilarious there is a top 10 list that I thought others might find as funny as I did. Check it out:

Slacker

Mom forgot to post that I turned 7 months old last Friday. Sorry, no stats this month since we managed to stay away from any doctors. WOO HOO!
Mom estimates my weight at about HEAVY lbs. and height at about PANTS SUDDENLY ALL TOO SHORT"

My current skills include:
Sitting up unassisted
Rolling over from my back to my belly constantly
Holding my bottle
Mastering most stage 2 foods
Projectile vomit (we've decided that the introduction of foods has officially qualified spit-up as vomit)

My future goals are:
Rolling over from my belly to my back
Scooting, dragging or crawing
Eating more new foods
Making my own bottles
Not Projectile vomitting
Writing the great American novel

Motherobics-Postpartum Exercise Program

Saw this in a magazine and just had to share...

Yoga: Fetus's Pose
Lie down on your mat and curl up on your side. That's all.
Intermediate: Read a magazine at the same time.
Advanced: To hit your target heart rate, read your hospital bill instead.

Pilates: The One
Lie faceup on your exercise mat. Lift your head and shoulders off the mat and raise your arms slightly above it. Pump arms once, down and up, for a count of one. Lie back down.
Intermediate: Do one more set of one.
Advanced: Get up from mat without shouting for help.

Spinning: Hell Climb
Haul yourself onto the seat of your exercise bike. Pause while your head stops spinning. Climb back down.
Intermediate: While still on bike, take both hands off handlebars and shout. "Look, a mom! No hands!"
Advanced: Remember to bring an ice pack with yhou in case the intermediate move makes you slip and bang your shin.

Jazzercise: Grape-Whine Combination
Stand in your kitchen, shoulders back and knees loose, then slowly sidestep to the fridge. Discover that your spouse has bought chardonnay, which you aren't allowed to have because you're breastfeeding.
Intermediate: Sidestep into room where spouse is sitting. Complain loudly.
Advanced: Lift right leg high and kick him.

Luke, I Am Your Neighbor

Yesterday we walked (some may say stupidly based on the insane temperatures) over to our neighbor's house to visit baby Luke, Trish & Mark. Here are a few pictures of us "playing". Luke might be just shy of 6 months younger then me but his feet are just about as big as mine! Or at least as long. I've got some seriously chubby feet that I doubt few could compete with.

Sneak Peek!!!

Last week a lady came to my house to take way too many pictures of me. Her camera was bigger then my dog. I was NOT happy. Apparently this had something to do with 6 month pictures, whatever that means. Today Corinna, the lady with the big camera, sent mommy some previews from the shoot and I figured it was ok to show everyone. I went through a lot of pain and suffering for these things. You better like them.

p.s. Check out Corinna's site for info about her and her photography. She's wonderful! http://www.corinnascamera.com/

Congratulations Adam & Kristen!!!

This weekend we traveled to Wapakoneta for Adam & Kristen's wedding. We had an amazing hotel that was really like a house. I don't like to sleep in my pack-n-play all that much (the sides of it make fun record scratching noises when I touch them and so I stay up all night and DJ) so instead I slept in the walk in closet most of the time.

The wedding was beautiful and we had so much fun dancing and chatting with all of our friends. I let lots of them hold me and I didn't even spit-up on them too much. And to top it all off, my Yia Yia and Theo Bill were there too! What a wonderful weekend!
