2 Year Stats, etc.

The numbers are in:

Weight: 25 lbs - 25%
Height: 35" - 75%
Head: mom can't remember but still small - 10%

Some new things I'm saying these days are:

"I love you daddy" and "I miss you daddy" - I say these all of the time but almost always when daddy leaves for work and when he comes home.

"I'm working" - I say this when I'm doing something mommy and daddy generally don't want me to do. (We were shopping last week and she found a piece of styrofoam which she proceeded to pull into a million pieces and spray about the area. When I asked her what she was doing she said, "I working mommy" with a don't-bother-me look on her face.)

"Boobies" - All the sudden I decided my boo boos should be called boobies. Don't know why but it's funny. And I make mommy and daddy kiss them and "wash" them off multiple times a day...weeks after they have disapeared. I do not however, like bandaids like most kids because, well, because my little legs are hairy and those boogers hurt to pull off!

"Stinky Butt" - I say this every time mommy changes my diaper whether it is stinky or not.

"Try it" - Saying this isn't as fun as the action that goes along with it. I like to sneak my fork or spoon under the table and tell Gabe to "try it". If I have to try it, he should have to too.

"Daddy fix it" - In response to anything that isn't working or appears to be broken. Usually said after mommy says she can't fix it and that it really is broken. I don't trust her. Daddy has magic she doesn't know about.

Couple other things I do now:

Insist upon putting on makeup with mommy in the morning. We'll thank GG for that one. Don't worry, mommy gives me the ends of all of the brushes but I still think I'm hot stuff.

I like to greet my toes in the morning. "Hi toes". (???)

I know what many of my books are about now and I'll tell you in a few words the general story.

I can count to ten but often leave out 5. Pesky thing, that 5.

I'm working hard on the ABC's and can get a lot of the letters even though I still call them the ABDs.

I do not like rain. Well, actually, I don't mind watching it I just don't like it touching me. Ick.

Up next:

Mastering those darnded ABDs.

Eating vegetables (mommy! get off the keyboard!)

Dressing myself

Potty training (EEK)

But most important, having fun and being a kid!

It's True, I'm 2!

What a day. Turning two is tiresome. Daddy took off work in the morning so we could go to a wonderful park to have my 2 yr photo shoot with Corinna (pics to come in the next few weeks). Then we went out to lunch together. Daddy and mommy both had to go to work so I figured I might as well get some zzzzzs. When I woke up we headed over to the zoo where 27 of my wonderful friends came to celebrate and eat cupcakes with me. It was fabulous! Oh, and I got more presents!

The stable/dollhouse mommy and daddy got me. (animals and people from Yia Yia!)

Nanny Becca got me two kittens. I love, love, love them! I've named them Fluffy and Floofy.

Dancing with Luci and Daddy in my Birthday Dress daddy got me.

Kelsey being cute as usual...
Party time!
Making blueberry muffins with mommy with my new birthday baking set and Apron (mommy has a matching one) from Trish.

The Big Day

Tomorrow is my birthday. I've been waiting for this moment forEVER, or at least it seems. I talk about my birthday constantly. Especially as it pertains to cake, cupcakes, or anything else sugary. Oh and presents. Lately, the thing I'm most attached to is the obnoxious birthday hat mommy got me to wear on my birthday. Mom tries to hide it but I keep finding it. I wear it almost every day at some point or another. Mom's a little worried that I'm going to fall into a major depression after tomorrow. Post event blues I think they call it.

Hanging with Mon!

Last Friday (prior to my getting a strange sickness that is thankfully over) momma's friend Monica came over to play with me! We went on a long walk, ate pizza at Strawberry Moon and splashed in my pool. It was so much fun. Thanks for visiting Mon!

Cake, Zoo, Cake, Fishing, Cake, Fireworks and Some Cake

Whoa! Where to begin. We have just returned home from a week away visiting family in Ohio along with a short stint in Indiana. I'm pooped. So much to report!

First we stopped by to visit our good friends Adam and Kristen in Wapakoneta and their new little baby girl Roslin. Isn't she cute!?!?!

Then G & GG threw me a birthday party including, get this, cake.

As if that weren't enough, we went to the Cincinnati Zoo! Mommy talks about it all the time so I had to see what all the fuss was about. She's totally right. It's incredible!

Afterwards we ventured on to the Knueven Family reunion where I got to meet my cousin Lilly's new puppy followed by my first big screen movie in Grandpa's "man room"...

And that was just the first two days! Then we drove to Brown County, Indiana where we stayed in G & GG's newest vacation cabin. It was BEAUTIFUL! Mommy caught her first fish in years in the 3 acre lake on the propery (before any of the men did) and I continued to eat cake. If ever you want a wonderful getaway please consider visiting one of my G & GGs cabins! Here is a link to their site if you want to check it out! http://www.awesomebrowncountycabins.com/

On Wednesday we drove to Dayton and spent the remainder of the week at Yia Yia's house. We went to Young's Dairy Farm for homeade ice cream and petting zoo. I had so much fun with my cousins Dorian, Demitra & Blake.

On the 4th of July we had a cookout and massive loud fireworks which I call "popcorn". I was not fond. At all. Not even a little bit. They are scary and loud. I thought Theo George was the one setting them off so all night and the next morning I kept saying "popcorn. george did it" over and over again. Cousin Demi dressed up like a ballerina and did lots of twirls for me. Oh, and did I mention that Yia Yia got me a cake and everyone sang happy birthday to me again? Mommy says no sweets for a very long time (or at least until my real birthday).

Overall...a WONDERFUL trip!!!
