HOLY HELL!

Please join me in welcoming the newest member of our zoo-like backyard that greeted me as I walked out the door yesterday. Yeah, I freaked. Screamed like a little girl. The story went something like this...

I was rushing out the door to pick up perscriptions at lunch time. Swing the door open run over to the gate...yes...the very gate that is mere feet away from this nasty thing. See it, run back in screeching for Becca to come see.

She runs over and joins me in disgust. Then all the sudden the stomach starts pulsating and we are convinced that the thing is going to give birth right there in front of us. Out pops two babies and it occurs to us that they were just in her pouch. ICK.

Gabe runs out. We are yelling at him to come back as I am sure he will go after this thing and it will tear him to shreads.

Me: Gabe!! Come!! Treat! Gabbers....GABE COME NOW! Come boy, come, please...etc.
Becca: Do you think if I hit you he'll come to your rescue and we can get him back inside.
Me: NO

Finally Gabe comes in and I decide to make a run for it to get to the car through the yard. The thing slinks away as I back out of the driveway.

Seems she's taken up residence under our deck. Lovely.

And if you dare to tell me she's cute we will no longer be friends.

Me And The Girls

Mom took the afternoon off on Friday so I could have all of my friends (Natalie, Ashlyn, Luci, Liliana & Reyna) over for a playdate. I ended up napping through most of it but that's what happens when you are so excited about your friends coming over that you can't fall asleep for your morning nap....or at least that's what they tell me. And we even played "hair dresser" and put a bow in Lilliana's hair!

Christos Anesti!

For those of you who are not Greek, do not know any Greeks or have been living under a rock and haven't seen My Big Fat Greek Wedding, "Christos Anesti" (Christ is risen) is what you would say in place of "Happy Easter" and is answered with "Alithos Anesti" (truly he has risen). Cultural lesson aside, this weekend we celebrated Greek Easter, or as Monica calls it, Greekster and it was a jam-packed few days! Lots of pictures to commemorate the wonderful weekend...

Then on Sunday theo George woke up really early to get the lamb started. (Yes, we do cook a lamb on a spit in the yard. The movie doesn't lie people!)

Water Baby

On Sunday I had my first swim class in the very same pool that my mommy took Aqua Moms when I was in her belly. At first I wasn't keen on the cold water but then I LOVED it! I splashed and splashed until it was time to get out. I even put my face in the water a few times although we weren't supposed to yet (I'm mature for my age).

.75 Years Old!

I've almost made it to whole numbers! Today is my 9 month birthday and to celebrate Mommy & Daddy are selling the car. It's sad but true. As of 5:00 p.m. Yolanda the Honda will no longer be a member of the Karras fleet. She's served us well and we will all be sad to see her go.
I'm not sure what Yolanda's stats are so here are mine:

9 Month Check-up-
weight: 17lbs 13oz!!!
height: 28"
head circumference: 16.25"

I Have A Sister!!!

Mommy & Daddy baptised my best buddy Ailey over the weekend so now I have a big (by 5 days) God sister! She was so brave and I took notes for when it's my turn. After the ceremony we went down to the DAC for a wonderful dinner to complete the wonderful day!
We are so incredibly honored to have been chosen for such a special role!

Beep Beep & Male Pattern Blindness

Daddy & Mommy bought me a new ride. Well, technically it's for mommy but she told me she would share. Dad had a difficult time not singing the ever popular "Sweet Sixteen" jingle from the MTV series when I was sitting in the drivers seat smiling like a goon. I checked it out this weekend and gave my approval after a full investigation.

And in case anyone is wondering, yes, daddy dressed me.
