A Man Made of Snow

Also known as a snowman in some circles....
Finally a snowman worth writing home about! With all of the snow we've had very little of it has been pack-able (if that isn't already a word, you can thank me Mr. Webster). Daddy got home from work late but that didn't stop us from building the biggest most wonderful snowman EVER. We couldn't get his rock eyes to stick so we improvised with some food coloring. Unfortunately it warmed up quite a bit the next day and Frosty turned into a horror flick extra complete with running blue/green features.

And yes, he is sporting a massive foam cowboy hat. His noggin was just too big for any of our winter hats so we had to bust out the old halloween costume supplies.

Yee HAW!

Woob Dog

Most of you know that Sophia is obsessed with her blanket which we call her "woobie". She received it as a gift when she was just born (thanks aunt Jo Jo!) and if it wasn't for mommy's ability to attain 2 exact replicas to trade them out, it would probably be in shreads by now.

Anyhow, as of a month ago Sophia has decided she is a dog. It's a routine we've grown quite annoyed by. I'm all for imagination but the barking and fetching act is wearing on our very last nerve. Recently she's decided that other things around her are dogs too....most recently, her woobie. She strokes it, pretends to feed it, says it has a boo boo and needs a kiss, etc...

And last week, out pops her new name for it: Woob Dog. I capitalize this because it's just too fabulous not to. It makes Taki and I laugh every time she says it.

So move over Snoop, there's a new dog in the house. Behold, Woob Dog:

Valentine's Day Party!

Last week all my friends came over for a Valentine's Day party. We had SO much fun. We ate all kinds of heart shaped food, danced around in tutus that mommy made for us, exchanged valentines and did a little craft. I love my friends so much and mommy & daddy are very thankful that we have such an amazing group of people near and dear to us.

We also had the two newest additions to playgroup in attendence!
Kristiana (Ailey's sister) born Nov. 12th
Emme (Luci's sister) born Jan. 16th
(and several more to come in the next few months!)

And Yet Another Reason My Daddy Rocks....

This post is VERY delayed but better late then never! This month last year mommy and daddy decided it was time for a basement re-do to make it more functional and put in an actual bathroom rather then a random shower and toilet in the middle of the room. Other then a few last touches, we finished it around Halloween. The pictures truly don't do it justice but we now have real walls, a real bathroom, an AWESOME laundry area and play area. Daddy also knocked down the wall separating the semi-finished side from the basement side. A big thanks to "G" theo George and theo Bill for helping daddy out when they were able to come for a visit. It was a long process but well worth it!

As as side note, this proves once again how awesome my daddy is! He did the plumbing, electrical...pretty much everything! In fact the only thing we hired anyone to do was the drywall mudding because mommy and daddy learned from their last house that mudding is something they would never, EVER do again.

Here we go...
Before pics...these were actually taken before we moved in when the old owners lived here but it looked essentially the same with a bit different furniture.

Working...Wall down and new walls going up.

Voila! Done!

My Daddy Rocks!

Lately we've been talking a lot about what daddy does when he leaves for the day. I knew he went to "work" but until recently I didn't know what "work" was. Now if you ask me what I want to do when I grow up I'll say, "Work with cars" or "Car designer". Daddy just chuckles but mommy thinks it's fantastic (funny, no interest in advertising or publishing...hmmm).

This weekend Theo Bill and Yia Yia came to visit and we went to the car show to see the car that daddy is working on. We are SO proud of him that we could burst. We can't wait to see it out on the street in real life. I'm trying to convince them that in support of daddy they should buy me one and just keep it in the garage for a few years until I'm old enough to drive it. We'll see : )

Warning: Proceed With Caution...

This might gross you out but I just had to document how crazy this kid can be. Keep in mind I was completely still so all of the movement you see is curtesy of the wild one. Sorry for the crazy angle but it's a bit challenging to videotape your own belly!

Snow Day!

Yesterday we had quite a bit of snow...enough to warrant strapping on 10 layers of clothing to go out and play. I LOVE snow. LOVE, love, love! I made snow angels with Trish (mama's not so coordinated these days and was afraid she would never be able to stand back up)and rode in the sled with Luke. We even walked all the way to the park and rode down the slides. They were so fast from the cold and snow that I almost earned my pilot's license. So. much. fun! Can't wait to go out again...today? mommy, please? today?
